The City Renewal Authority is calling for applications from local individuals, groups and organisations who can develop innovative projects to animate and energise the city’s public spaces.
City Grants of up to $50,000 are available, with a simpler application process for grants of up to $10,000.
City Renewal Authority chief executive Malcolm Snow said he was delighted the grants program could re-open and the Authority was able to continue supporting local businesses during this challenging time.
“City Grants are an important initiative of the City Renewal Authority, which not only provide benefits to the community through increasing connections to the city centre, but which also build capacity within our community, engage local businesses and in turn, benefit the local economy,” Mr Snow said.
“Our grants are open for projects occurring from 1 September 2020 to 30 June 2021. Looking to the future, we believe that our City Grant recipients can play an important role in contributing to the cultural and sustainable development of our city’s public places and local economy.
“We are calling for applications that strengthen people’s connection to our city’s public spaces while demonstrating innovative thinking and adaptability to respond to current and future COVID-19 conditions.”
City Grants are available in two categories:
