A fun-filled event focused on kids’ interaction and active movement in nature. The program will include a range of activities like classic backyard and school games, slack-lining, natural movement, circus activities, live music and more.

Observation: There are limited formal opportunities for active play and recreation in Haig Park. Limited user diversity contributes to lower usage, visitation and perception of safety in the park. Hypothesis: Events focused on enriching children's experience of Haig Park can contribute to greater park visitation and improves perception. Favourable outcome: A free one-day event attended by children across a range of ages and from diverse backgrounds with positive feedback. Increased awareness and use of larger infrastructure experiments. |
