CBRtalks is coming to City Walk in November 2019.
CBRtalks is an innovative mobile conversation space, designed to engage Canberrans in the city and actively listen to the diverse stories which make up the community. Anyone is free to participate and can talk about whatever they like.
As CBRtalks listen to these stories, they will be capturing the faces of Canberra and using polaroid snaps to create an interactive art installation in the mobile conversation space.
This community listening project is an initiative of The Salvation Army Canberra City.
This event has been made possible via the City Renewal Authority’s City Grants program.
When: 3 – 31 November, specific times will be announced closer to the date.
The official launch of CBRtalks will be on Sunday 3 November, 1–2pm, in City Walk, near Garema Place. As part of the launch, CBRtalks will acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Ngunnawal people, and thank the local elders for sharing the Ngunnawal word for listen – warringali.
They’ll also have award-winning local photographer and story teller, Doug Hall, capturing the faces of Canberrans to kick off the interactive art installation in the mobile conversation space. All are welcome to participate in the official launch, simply turn up and share your story.
