Civic Hustle

Calling all Civic business owners! Be part of the Civic Hustle urban treasure hunt

26 March 2019

On Saturday 25 May, an urban treasure hunt is coming to Civic.

In similar style to the television show The Amazing Race, entrants will explore Civic on foot, answering questions, solving puzzles, interacting with businesses and completing challenges to be the ultimate winner.

If your business or building is located in Civic and you’re keen to get involved in the fun, now’s your chance.

There are three different ways businesses can get involved:

  1. Place a clue in your shopfront/windowAs part of the Urban Hustle treasure hunt, contestants will be on the lookout for Hustle logos hidden across the precinct, in shop windows and other spaces. The team that finds the most logos wins. Event organiser, Fully Rad Adventures will provide each participating business with a small corflute logo to hide. This a great way to be involved and attract entrants doing so with minimal commitment.
  2. Host a challenge or activity inside your store

To really be involved in the Civic Hustle, a business can opt to host a physical challenge or contribute a question to the clue sheet, connected to their offering. For example, a dance studio could run a dance challenge while a retail shop could have a question relating to one of its products. This would bring teams into the business while creating a unique interaction point. Fully Rad Adventures will work closely with any businesses that wants to have this level of involvement with the event.

  1. Provide a prize or voucher for teams.Have your business acknowledged by providing a voucher or prize for the winners of the Civic Hustle. Alternatively, you could offer a product or service to be claimed during the Civic Hustle, encouraging participants to visit your business during the event.

The Civic Hustle promises to be a great family event. The more businesses involved the better connected Canberrans will be to the city centre. To talk through the different options or to find out more, contact Richard Old – | 0402519521

The Civic Hustle is made possible via the City Grants program.
