The city centre’s flower and plant displays are being refreshed for spring! The City Renewal Authority is calling on Canberrans to help extend the life of the existing plants at a plant giveaway on Wednesday 26 August 2020.
About 1000 plants from the current displays will be on offer, including pansies, primula ruby, cineraria silverdust and kale pidgeo!
You’re invited to attend the plant giveaway between 11am -2pm at the intersection of Garema Place and City Walk.
On the day
To encourage physical distancing, we have implemented some guidelines so please read the following carefully.
To ensure everyone's safety and wellbeing please book a time to attend this event. Walks-in will not be accepted. Places are limited and it is strictly one ticket per person. Please show evidence of your registration on arrival.
On the day, please keep 1.5 metres of physical distance between yourself and others, and if you are feeling unwell, stay home. Visit https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/ for all the latest health advice.
There will be a variety of plants available - we recommend no more than two plants per person so we can share the love around.
The flower displays are an initiative of the City Renewal Authority, made possible through the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy.
