  • Disability facilities upgrades at Belconnen Community Centre to provide easier access for all clients.
  • Installation of Solar PV to Flynn Community Hub and Cook Community Hub which will lower utility cost of the facility and help the environment.
Footpath and cycle path network upgrades
  • A new 1500m long and 1.5m wide concrete path along the southern side of Southern Cross Drive between Kingsford Smith Drive and Ross Smith Crescent in Scullin.
  • A new 300m long and 1.5m wide concrete path from the existing path along Southern Cross Drive to bus stop 5003 (before Ratcliffe Crescent) in Florey.
  • A new 265m long and 2m wide concrete path along the existing dirt track beside the future retirement village between the Higgins Place cul-de-sac and Fullager Crescent in Higgins.
  • A new 42m long and 1.5m wide concrete path on Clews Place connecting it with Mugglestone Place in Bruce.
  • A new 64m long and 2.5m wide concrete path on Southern Cross Drive connecting to bus stop 5028 (after Ratcliffe Street) in Florey.
  • A new path improving connectivity around Kaleen High School. The new 2m wide asphalt path will start at Baldwin Drive and progress through the open space between the Kaleen Community Garden and Canberra & District Bocce Club, connecting to the existing path network at the bottom of Tyrell Circuit.
  • Drainage issues addressed with path improvements at:
    • Caswell Drive (southbound) between Belconnen Way and the Glenloch Interchange
    • John Knight Memorial Park

Improvements to our tertiary education facilities
  • Building and facility upgrades at CIT Bruce, modernising the look and feel of the campus as well as improving the safety of campus users. The works include upgrading/repairing painting, carpet, toilets, sewerage drainage, lighting and switchboards, and instalment of safety showers and eye wash for science laboratories.
Public transport facility upgrades
  • Improved facilities for staff at the Belconnen Transport Canberra depot. This includes improvements to toilet facilities and administration areas as well as improved site security and safety.
Road safety improvements
  • A new pedestrian crossing on Chandler Street in Belconnen, providing a safe crossing point between the Belconnen Labor Club and the car park.
  • Traffic lights installed and other safety improvements made at the following intersections:
    • Belconnen Way and Springvale Drive, Hawker
    • Southern Cross Drive and Starke Street, Holt
    • Kuringa Drive and Owen Dixon Drive, Evatt
