Arts and cultural facility improvements
  • Upgrades to toilet facilities at the Tuggeranong Art Centre as well as new LED fittings in priority spaces and accessibility upgrades to the front entry.
  • Improvement to heritage listed cottages at Lanyon.
Emergency service upgrades
  • The installation of two new concrete helipads for large firefighting helicopters at Hume RFS Helibase along with two new large tanks for water supply and retardant storage.
Footpath and cycle path network upgrades
  • A new 820m long and 2.5m wide asphalt path alongside Drakeford Drive between the underpass adjacent to Singleton Crescent to the intersection of Erindale Drive and Soward Way in Oxley.
  • A new 520m long and 1.5m wide concrete path along the western verge of Clive Steele Avenue between the Impact Church and Azalea Circuit in Isabella Plains.
  • A new 155m long and 2m wide concrete path along Drakeford Drive from the underpass through the open space to the intersection of Noorooma Street and Cromwell Circuit in Isabella Plains.
  • Drainage issues addressed with path improvements along Heagney Crescent in Gilmore.

Installation of two 40-kilowatt (kW) energy storage batteries, which will allow renewable electricity from onsite rooftop solar generation to be stored for later use in peak electricity demand periods. The batteries are the next step in improving schools’ climate change sustainability, helping the Government manage electricity to reduce grid electricity demand and school energy costs as well as stimulating the ACT electrical trades sector.

Stage 2 upgrades to the English and Humanities and Social Sciences classrooms, and staffroom including furniture. Upgrade to the heating, ventilation and cooling systems in this area. Digital signage and landscaping at front of the school. Window furnishings in identified areas. Installation of thermal performance blinds.

Preschool painting and flooring. Upgrades to the community hub including painting, carpeting, LED lights and new joinery, Landscaping at front of school, digital signage, replace carpet in administration area, repairs to concrete trip hazard.

Open space and landscape improvements
  • Works to support land restoration and improve water quality in the Lower Cotter Catchment, with staff and contractors planting native seedlings, removing invasive weed infestations, and controlling soil erosion in targeted areas.
  • The repair and replacement of Namadgi's boundary fences between rural properties and Namadgi that were damaged in the Orroral Valley bushfire. This stimulus supports local fencing business, suppliers and rural landholders.
Public transport facility upgrades
  • Improved staff facilities at the Tuggeranong Transport Canberra depot. This includes improvements to toilet facilities and administration areas as well as improved site security and safety.
  • Deep cleaning and repainting a number of bus shelters across Tuggeranong.
Road safety improvements
  • Installation of speed humps on Newman Morris Circuit in Oxley.
  • New speed humps and pedestrian refuges will be installed on Heagney Crescent and Norris Street in Chisholm as well as a reduction in speed limit on Clift Crescent, Goldstein Crescent and Hambidge Crescent in Chisholm.
