About us

The Homes and Housing website is a joint initiative of the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate and the Community Services Directorate and has been developed to support the 2018 ACT Housing Strategy.

The online environment means that the strategy will be able to respond to demographic, social, environmental and economic changes over its 10-year lifespan. New actions may be added, once further investigation is complete, and the implementation plan will be updated to reflect new priority focus areas. This will assist in informing government's consideration of Budget commitments and funding priorities each year.

This website also provides a guide to affordable housing options for Canberrans in a simple, easy to read format.
