Community Health Centres are located in all major town centres in the ACT (Tuggeranong, Phillip, Gungahlin, Civic, Belconnen and Dickson), each offering a variety of services to help Canberra families look after their health and wellbeing.

TUGGERANONG:

The Tuggeranong Community Health Centre is opposite the bus interchange on the corner of Anketell Street and Pitman Streets in the town centre and is open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

The centre provides Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Nutrition, Pathology, Women’s health, Dental and Fall Prevention services, Social work and Mental Health care, and Alcohol and Drug counselling.

It also features a Nurse-led Walk in Centre, providing free one-off advice and treatment for people with a minor illness or injury.

BELCONNEN

The Belconnen Community Health Centre is opposite Westfield Belconnen on the corner of Lathlain and Cohen Streets in the town centre and is open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

The centre provides Dental, Podiatry, Respiratory, BreastScreen and Women’s and Children’s Health services, Cancer Counselling, Social Work and Mental Health Care, Nutrition and Obesity Management services, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Falls Injury Prevention services.

It also features a Nurse-led Walk in Centre, providing free one-off advice and treatment for people with a minor illness or injury.

WODEN

The Phillip Community Health Centre is on the corner of Corinna Street and Keltie Streets and is open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

The centre provides Dental, Physiotherapy and Community Rehabilitation services, Podiatry, Community Nursing and Wound Care, BreastScreen and Women’s Health services, Maternal and Child Health services, Nutrition and Eating Disorders Support, Cancer Counselling and Mental Health Care services. Community Nursing services are also available on weekends and Dental services are available on Saturdays.

GUNGAHLIN

The Gungahlin Community Health Centre is on the corner of Ernest Cavanagh Street and Fussell Lane and is open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

The centre provides Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Nutrition, Maternal and Child Health, Youth Dental, Diabetes and Orthoptist services, Women’s Health Care services, Pathology, Wound Care and Mental Health Care and Alcohol and Drug services.

CITY

The City Community Health Centre is on the corner of Moore and Alinga Streets in Civic and is open from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

The centre provides Dental, Kindergarten Health Checks, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Community Nursing, Nutrition, BreastScreen and Women’s health services, Social work and Mental Health Care and Alcohol and Drug services.
