20 years celebrating Canberra's diversity

The 2016 National Multicultural Festival runs from 12-14 February in Canberra City and this year’s headline act will be the Black Sorrows with lead singer Joe Camilleri.

One of the new additions for 2016 is the ‘Bellydance Spectacular Showcase’, which will be held as part of the Saturday Carnival Parade. Once again, the event will feature old favourites, including the Food and Dance Spectacular, American Experience, Pacific Island Showcase, India in the City, African Village, Greek Glendi, Chinese Spring Festival, Latin American Quarters, EU Village and the Indigenous Showcase.

The Canberra Multicultural Fringe Festival

The Canberra Multicultural Fringe is taking place again this year and will celebrate local identity and diversity with a mix of music and live performance that includes mostly experimental new works.
