Upgrade at Woden Town Centre
Upgrades to some of Woden’s key roads, intersections, pedestrian facilities and public spaces are almost ready and expected to finish in May.
The area bound by Melrose Drive, Furzer Street and the Tradies club is getting a facelift with improvements to footpaths, new trees and street furniture. And a new public park to the north of the Woden library will also improve the area’s appeal and connection to the town centre.
The new and now open multi-storey car park offers around 940 parking spaces and is sure to be popular when 1,500 workers move into the area this year. There are more than 140 additional parking spaces than there were in the two former surface car parks.
