Home ownership for people with disability
A new model of affordable housing for ten people with intellectual disability is now officially open in Harrison.
The new properties are part of Project Independence, which offers the opportunity of home ownership for those who may not have been able to afford it.
The Harrison site features predominately open plan, single story properties, allowing people with intellectual disability to live in housing that suits them and to be closer to family, friends and the services and supports they need.
The first Project Independence site was officially launched in Latham on 6 May 2016. For more information visit www.projectindependence.com.au
