New technology to make life easier for Canberra parents

New parents and baby using the online system

Booking important appointments and health checks for new babies will soon be easier for Canberra parents with the launch of a six-month trial to test a new ACT Health online booking system.

The ACT Government teamed up with the Australian Government's Digital Transformation Office to deliver the Access Health Online system which sends text message reminders to new parents to make health appointment for their baby. Parents are then able to easily and conveniently book their appointments using their mobile device or computer.

The six month trial will involve up to 100 new parents and will be assessed before being rolled-out Canberra-wide in 2017.
