Climb, jump, explore and have fun outdoors
Canberra’s newest natural play areas are now open at Tuggeranong Town Park, Finn St Park in O'Connor and Telopea Park in Barton.
The Tuggeranong space is specifically designed for toddlers to eight-year-olds and features sloping log balance beams and stepping stones, and logs and boulders for maze-like play. There are also totem poles with sound features and ‘ochre pots’ for painting and making mud pies.
Kids can explore the amphitheatre style nature classroom at the O’Connor play space and get creative in the loose parts shop with small sticks, rocks, logs and other natural elements for building their first masterpiece.
Kids will also love the loose parts shop at Telopea Park, as well as the campfire style social spot, timber post maze, pipe tunnels for exploring, freestyle logs and stepping stones.
