Park n Pedal to work in CBR

Man riding a bike in Canberra CBD

Canberrans now have a central place to park the car for free, grab a coffee, jump on their bike and ride the rest of the way to work with the launch of Australia’s first Park and Pedal scheme.

Canberrans can drive their car and park at the Lindsay Pryor National Arboretum carpark, take out their bike, and pedal the rest of the way to work. Parking is free with regular security patrols. From there it is a leisurely 30 minute ride to the City, Woden, National Triangle and Barton precincts.

To help people get used to the new facility, staff and  volunteers will be onsite between 13 to 17 February to ride with anyone who'd like company, leaving the carpark at 8:00 am each day to travel to the City, Woden, the Parliamentary Triangle and to Barton.
