New learning spaces for Tuggeranong kids

Girls in a garden at Conder primary

Students at Charles Conder Primary School now have access to a new sensory garden.

This garden is a calm and enjoyable space designed to interest, delight and even comfort students depending on their individual needs. It's also flexible enough to be used for small group outdoor learning.

The garden is designed to engage all the senses, with scents from aromatic plants, sounds from the musical mobile in the tree, a mist tunnel and a path with lots of textured surfaces such as cobble, grass and stepping stones.

Upgrades are continually taking place across Canberra’s public schools. These improvements ensure Canberra’s students and teachers have access to state-of-the-art learning facilities and that great schools and education are also available in growing areas of the city.
