Ride Safe to School Week (29 October - 2 November) is a Ride or Walk to School program initiative that encourages children to be safe and get active on their journey to and from school.

Schools are encouraged to participate by hosting an event during the week and encourage children to walk or ride to school regularly.

Riding or walking to school is a simple way for children to incorporate more physical activity into their day, which helps to improve their physical and mental health. It is also the best way to reduce traffic congestion and increase safety around schools.

Parents are encouraged to ride or walk to school with their children during Ride Safe to School Week. This provides an opportunity to teach children important safety messages and set them up for independent travel.
