Almost 30 million containers have been returned through the ACT Container Deposit Scheme since it began in June 2018.

This equates to almost $3 million of refunds, ten per cent of the refunds have gone to charity.

It's now easier for Canberrans to recycle containers with eleven new return points for the ACT Container Deposit Scheme now open.

There are now a total of 21 drop-off points across Canberra where you can return your eligible beverage containers to receive a 10 cent refund for each. As well as getting a refund, your recycling will help reduce litter and the number of containers going to landfill.
