Cars drive along William Slim Drive.
20 February 2019
Draft designs for the proposed duplication of William Slim Drive between Ginninderra Drive and the Barton Highway are on display now and available for feedback.
There are around 20,000 vehicle movements per day on William Slim Drive with that number expected to increase.
Key features of the duplication include:
- two lanes in each direction between Ginninderra Drive and the Barton Highway
- 6.4 kilometres of new on-road cycle lanes
- new signalised intersection at Dumas Street/William Slim Drive
- additional bus stops and upgrading of existing ones.
There are two drop-in information sessions this week at Belconnen and Gungahlin Libraries, the project team will be available to answer questions in relation to the draft design.
