The start of green waste bin services for Gungahlin, Woden, Molonglo, Inner North and Inner South has been brought forward.

Canberrans living in these areas can register now for fortnightly green waste collections starting 1 April, 2019.

A one-off registration fee of $50 is required. If you hold one of the concession cards below, you are exempt from payment:

  • ACTION Gold Card
  • Department of Veterans' Affairs Gold Card
  • Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card
  • MyWay Seniors Card (for people who are aged 70 years and above)
  • Department of Veterans' Affairs Pension Card

Belconnen, Tuggeranong and Weston Creek residents can also continue to register for green waste services already operating in those areas.

Green bins can be used for leaves, grass clippings, weeds, prunings, flowers and small branches.
