The Heritage Library and the Archives are great public repositories full of the ACT’s history.

The Library stores community records and ArchivesACT stores government records.

Collections include unique and irreplaceable items such as newspapers, photographs, maps, diaries, books, microfilm and digital items, which anyone can access.

The move has better storage for the ever-growing collection of items, providing more opportunities to make these precious archives available to the public, both online and in person..

The new location for both ACT Heritage Library and ArchivesACT is 255 Canberra Avenue, Fyshwick.

Free parking is available. Opening hours are 9.30 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am – 4 pm on Saturdays.
