Construction on the Weston Creek Walk-in Centre to start

The upgrade of Weston Creek community health centre (also known as the Independent Living Centre) into a new Walk-in Centre for Weston Creek and neighbouring areas will start soon.

The new Walk-in Centre will provide the growing Molonglo Valley and Weston Creek region better access to free health care for minor injuries or illnesses.'

The Independent Living Centre display of equipment has closed and the Occupational Therapy and Maternal and Child Health services have moved to the Village Creek Centre in Kambah. Occupational therapists will assess, provide information and undertake equipment trials with suppliers at this site. A small display of frequently used equipment will be available.  You will be able to drop in for simple advice or can make an appointment.

Walk-in Centre's are open 7 days a week, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Opening hours are between 7.30am and 10pm.

Visit a Walk-in Centre's for treatment of:

  • common illnesses, like cold and flu
  • cuts and bruises
  • minor infections and wounds
  • strains and sprains
  • skin conditions and rashes
