ACT Government services over Christmas and New Year

The free Walk-in Centres at Belconnen, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong and Weston Creek will be open on public holidays during the Christmas and New Year period from 7.30am to 10pm. Emergency Departments at Canberra Hospital and Calvary Hospital are also open.

A revised bus timetable will be running over the Christmas and New Year period from Monday 23 December 2019 until Friday 10 January 2020, inclusive. Visit transport.act.gov.au or call 13 17 10 for more information.
WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

If you come across a lost or injured pet, contact Domestic Animal Services on 13 22 81 to speak with the duty ranger.
REPORTING CHILD ABUSE OR NEGLECT
If you are concerned about the safety and wellbeing of a child or young person, you can notify Child and Youth Protection Services on 1300 556 729.
Anyone experiencing domestic violence during the holiday period can contact the 24-hour Domestic Violence Crisis Service on 6280 0900.
All ACT public libraries and return chutes will close at 2pm on 24 December. Woden, Tuggeranong, Dickson and Gungahlin libraries and their return chutes will be open for limited hours on 28 and 29 December before closing again until Thursday 2 January when all branches re-open and regular hours resume. Access Canberra Service Centres at Belconnen, Gungahlin, Woden and Tuggeranong, and Specialised Centres at Mitchell and Dickson will close at 4pm on 24 December and reopen on 2 January.
