Woden Library opened in 1977.
24 October 2019
Canberrans are being invited to have their say on a new community space being created at Woden Library.
The library, which opened in 1977, is the busiest of the nine public library branches in the ACT.
The ACT Government has allocated $500,000 to create a new community space on the top level, formerly home to the Heritage Library.
The Heritage Library has moved to 255 Canberra Avenue, Fyshwick.
With an aim of making the newly available floor at Woden Library a space for the whole community to enjoy, the ACT Government is calling for ideas on how it could be used via the YourSay online consultation hub as well as through design workshops and in person at the Woden Library itself.
You don’t need to be a library member to provide feedback. Ideas are sought from both library users and those who haven’t visited the library in a while.
Have your say by:
- sharing your ideas online
- visiting the Woden Library branch where you can contribute to an 'ideas wall' or have a chat to one of the staff members.
