Work is underway to expand Gold Creek School to create space for 300 new students in the junior school in 2020 and an additional 200 students in the senior school in 2022.

Gungahlin continues to be one of the fastest growing regions in Australia.

The number of Canberra public school students is growing by about three per cent each year.

Upgrades already underway at Gold Creek include the replacement of playground equipment, the introduction of a new soft-fall surface and the creation of a new covered outdoor learning space.

These improvements, together with similar undertakings in schools across the city, are designed to cater to the growing student population and ensure that all students to receive a high-quality education.
