Upgrades coming to your suburb

  • Charnwood: Traffic lights have been installed at the intersections of Lhotsky Street/Tillyard Drive and Tillyard Drive/Ginninderra Drive Road works are being finished up and then we’ll turn the lights on
  • Construction will soon get underway on the 4.7 kilometre Belconnen Bikeway
  • Higgins Oval is being upgraded
  • Playground upgrades are complete at Kaleen and Evatt primary schools

Central Canberra:

  • There is a new bus shelter on Alinga Street
  • Improvements will be made to the intersections at Masson Street/McCaughey Street and Hobart Avenue/National Circuit
  • Northbourne Avenue will undergo pavement rehabilitation works on the northbound lanes between Macarthur Avenue and Antill Street.
  • A new natural play space is coming to Glebe Park in the city
  • Three intersections on both sides of the bride linking Kent and Novar streets will receive traffic signals
  • Stormwater upgrades are happening in Fyshwick
  • Black Mountain School has a new hoist (for disability access) and outdoor learning space
  • Clare Holland House is being expanded
  • Footpaths along Mort Street, City Walk and Akuna Street will receive upgrades


  • Work is progressing on the Gundaroo Drive duplication
  • The speed limit for a section of the Barton Highway will be reduced to 80km/h
  • The Nicholls neighbourhood oval and Gungahlin Place Park have been upgraded
  • Gold Creek School is being expanded


  • Improvements to Kambah Village are underway
  • There have been upgrades to the school parking and outdoor learning areas at Wanniassa Hills, Theodore primary schools and Lanyon High Schools

Woden, Weston Creek and Molonglo:

  • Coppins Crossing Road is being updated and renamed to John Gorton Drive
  • The Woden Experiment has been extended
  • Upgrade works will get underway at Dudley Street
  • The Eddison Park natural play space is on its way
