Canberrans have transitioned to doing more and more transactions online over the past few months, but Access Canberra has asked the community to be patient as they continue to adapt to increased demand.
“Thanks for working with us over the past few months as we increased our online service capacity,” Emily Springett, an Access Canberra spokesperson, said.
“It has been a challenging time for our whole city, and we appreciate the community’s patience whilst we have looked to adapt our services.
“We are here to service the community, and by increasing our service delivery online and over the phone, we hope Canberrans are able to save time and fit a bit more into their days.
“We hope all Canberrans will enjoy the ease of being able to do their life admin, knowing that Access Canberra’s online services are here for you, 24/7.”
Despite an increased online presence, Access Canberra Service Centres remain open to those in the community who need face-to-face support.
“Waiting times at Service Centres may be longer at the moment, but we are still here to support you,” Ms Springett said.
“To support safety, we are contactless, which means we won't handle your mobile device, paperwork, pens, or other items, where possible.”
Some of the 450+ ACT Government transactions, available online 24/7, include:
- Car registration renewal
- Update driver licence details
- Land tax payments
- Recycling and waste bin requests and services
- Working with Vulnerable People card
- MyWay card recharge
- CIT student fee payments.
