New Hino Poncho buses have been added to the Flexible Bus Service fleet.

Two new smaller buses have joined Transport Canberra’s fleet and are playing an important role in increasing accessibility for many Canberra residents.
The new Hino Poncho buses are operating as part of Transport Canberra’s Flexible Bus Service, helping Canberrans – particularly the elderly or those with a mobility difficulty – reach their destinations.
Those eligible for the service include seniors, holders of a Vision Impaired or Total and Permanently Incapacitated travel pass, and carers working with any eligible traveller.
Earlier this year, two of these buses started operating in Ginninderry, connecting Strathnairn residents to the Kippax Bus Station, Kingsford Smith School and Macgregor Primary School.
All Hino Poncho buses are fully compliant with disability access requirements, including the ability to accommodate passengers in wheelchairs. With their kerb-kneeling function, dismounting the Hino Poncho buses is an easy task.
