A new Walk-In Centre is now open in Dickson, providing free health care for minor injuries and illnesses to Inner North residents.

The facility will be the ACT’s fifth Walk-in Centre, joining the popular centres at Tuggeranong, Belconnen, Gungahlin and Weston Creek.

Leading the team will be Clinical Nurse Manager Anne Douglas, whose experience includes managing the Central Outpatients Department at Canberra Hospital and more recently the EPIC drive-through COVID-19 testing facility.

She said it was vital for the community to have access to an after-hours service for minor illnesses and injuries.

“I am looking forward to working with such a highly-skilled and experienced team of nurses, who have undertaken extensive additional education and training to be able to deliver the level of professional and expert care that the community expects,” Clinical Nurse Manager Anne Douglas said.

The Inner North Walk-in Centre is located at 111 Dickson Place, Dickson. Opening hours are from 7.30am to 10pm daily, including public holidays, and appointments are not required.
