Libraries ACT is trialling a new mystery box service.
25 August 2020
Canberrans who are having trouble accessing their local library can sign up to receive a mystery box of Libraries ACT goodies, as part of a new trial service.
Each mystery box will have up to 10 items from the recipient’s preferred genre, including fiction novels, and DVDs.
Libraries ACT will thoughtfully select each item before delivering them to the homes of around 2,000 lucky trial participants.
The Mystery Box will be collected after four weeks, and a new one will be delivered at a different time to be COVID Safe.
The mystery box service offers a new way for library members to receive paper and digital resources, providing much-required literary and stress relief during COVID-19.
Canberra residents who are unable to access to their favourite library due to COVID-19, those who are unable to leave home for health reasons, and parents with children at home will be prioritised.
The ACT Government are looking for Canberrans to be the first to trial this service and provide feedback.
Eager bookworms are encouraged to get in quick as there are only 2,000 spaces available.
To sign up for the free trial, visit https://www.library.act.gov.au/services/mystery-box-delivery-service or call the helpline at 02 6207 7265.
