It’s Valentine’s Day, which gives us an opportunity to ‘Show Canberra Some Love’ by supporting our local tourism and hospitality industry as we celebrate together.
Some businesses have done it tough this summer as a result of the bushfires, smoke haze and storms, but we can help by spending time enjoying our restaurants and attractions.
It’s a good excuse to experience something a little bit different, too.

This weekend is your last chance to attend the Openair Cinema on Patrick White Lawns by the National Library for the summer. Their Valentine’s pick is 10 Things I Hate About You. Jumanji: The Next Level is showing on Saturday, and The Gentlemen wraps up the season on Sunday.
Get your heart racing on the giant inflatable obstacle course at Black Mountain Peninsula. Book online for a session. They start on the hour and run for 50 minutes, with a safety briefing beforehand.
Pacman, anyone? The Game Masters exhibition will be open late at the National Film and Sound Archive for the last time on Valentine’s Day. Hang out together playing one of the 80 playable games.
Head to Tuggeranong Town Park’s main entrance gate at Greenway to see a free performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the lake at 6.30pm on Friday or Saturday night. The show continues for another week, at the ANU followed by Manuka, Glebe Park and Patrick White Lawns.
Woo at the Zoo!
