There have been upgrades to parks, shops and playgrounds in the Tuggeranong region.

28 February 2020

Many areas across the Tuggeranong region have been given a refresh, improving spaces like parks, local shops, playgrounds and the town centre.

New life for historic Tharwa timber

Timber salvaged from the Tharwa Bridge restoration has been given new life as street furniture on Primmer Court in Kambah and Jondol Place in Isabella Plains. The recycling project is part of a program of Tuggeranong streetscape improvements, as is the addition of a new shade sail at the playground by Lake Tuggeranong on Mortimer Lewis Drive in Greenway.

Kambah Village upgrade complete

Kambah Village has been revitalised, with more car parking, green spaces, toilets and a BBQ.

For the kids, there is new play equipment, including a basket swing, slides, climbing frame, trampolines and a shade sail.
