Nominations for the 2020 ACT Training Awards are proceeding as planned.
08 May 2020
Do you know a student, trainer, apprentice, employer or registered training organisation that has performed exceptionally?
You can nominate them for the ACT Training Awards, which close at 5pm on Thursday 28 May.
The Awards are held annually, showcasing the commitment, innovation and outstanding achievements of those involved in the ACT vocational education and training (VET) sector.
The successes of both individuals and organisations in the ACT are recognised across 14 categories.
2019 ACT and Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year recipient, Taylor Williams, shared how winning the award has grown his confidence.
“Being able to talk in front of crowds and on panels, sharing my story with others has been amazing.”
“The biggest thing I can take away from the awards process was that it made me realise that I am unique, my story is important and being able to share it with others has been inspirational.”
After winning the 2019 ACT VET Teacher/Trainer of the Year, Ken Wilson is committed to promoting the great opportunities that arise from a VET qualification.
Wilson found the awards process to be highly rewarding as it “exposes you to passionate, motivated professionals, and that environment encourages you to strive to continually improve your skills, knowledge and professionalism as a VET Teacher.”
Winners in aligned categories will go on to compete for national success at the Australian Training Awards.
You can submit your nomination via the ACT Training Awards Nomination Portal. The instructions on how to complete and submit your nomination are available in the nomination portal.
