It is important to look after you and your loved ones’ health and wellbeing during COVID-19.

We all need to look after our own and our loved ones’ health and wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
All health clinics, emergency departments, and mental health services across Canberra are open and safe to attend. But despite this, almost half of us have stopped seeing our GP during this time.
It can seem scary going out in public after practising physical distancing for so long, but rest assured that health care clinics across Canberra have procedures in place to keep everyone safe.
They even offer telehealth online and over-the-phone appointments if you’re uncomfortable attending in person. You can still get your prescriptions from your doctor in your telehealth appointment.
If you have a chronic health condition, it’s important to regularly see your doctor or GP so you stay as healthy as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Delaying getting the care you need puts your health at risk. It can also increase the impact on the health system in future.
Do not put off getting help when you or your family need it.
Remember to stay strong, stay informed and be kind.
