Spoke Up! For Women's Health is running programs from 5 - 11 September.
01 September 2020
Canberrans are encouraged to get on their bike next week as part of Spoke Up! For Women’s Health.
The annual event returns as part of National Women’s Health Week with a program of events including discussions, rides and demonstrations from 5 to 11 September.
Whether you’re a woman in her fifties who has never dared to ride a bicycle, if you identify as non-binary and want to go on a social ride, or you’re a parent who wants to know about great cycling spots for you and your children – there is something for everyone in the Spoke Up! Program.
While it can be daunting if you haven’t cycled in some time, the sessions are designed to help more women experience the multiple health benefits of riding a bike, as well as provide added confidence.
Riding a bike is not only an ideal way to travel, it is great exercise, reduces your emissions and connects you to your community.
