Canberra’s popular e-scooter program is expanding once again, making the ACT one of the world’s largest e-scooter operating areas.

From Friday 9 December 2022, Beam and Neuron e-scooters will be available in Tuggeranong, Molonglo Valley, and additional areas of Woden and Weston Creek.

The latest expansion will include the areas of:

  • Wanniassa, Oxley, Monash and Greenway as well as parts of Bonython and Isabella Plains in Tuggeranong
  • the suburbs of Coombs and Wright in Molonglo
  • expanding the Weston Creek operating area to include the suburbs of Holder, Waramanga and parts of Stirling
  • the extension of the Woden operating area to include the suburbs of Pearce, Torrens and Farrer

Earlier this year the e-scooter scheme was successfully rolled out across areas of Gungahlin and Woden. This expansion provides even more Canberrans with convenient travel options for short trips or combined with public transport.

Covering a total of 132km2, the ACT is now home to one of the world’s largest e-scooter operating areas. Canberrans take approximately 2,900 e-scooter trips per day, with more than 2.4 million trips completed since the program’s introduction in 2020.

More information about the expansion and the e-scooter scheme is available on the Transport Canberra website.
