Tuggeranong foreshore

The Tuggeranong foreshore precinct is being made even better.

01 June 2022

The Tuggeranong Town Centre revitalisation continues with the next stage of improvements set to be delivered along the foreshore precinct.

These works will make it easier and safer to get around the town centre, as well as encourage local families and friends to spend more time in local public recreation spaces.

The improvements will be shaped by the more than 650 pieces of community feedback received during a recent consultation on how to improve the Tuggeranong foreshore precinct.

Key themes included:

  • better walking and cycling paths;
  • outdoor vendor spaces;
  • upgraded facilities including public
  • toilets, seating and gathering spaces;
  • more trees and landscaping; and
  • better play opportunities at the Tuggeranong Town Park playground.

A summary of feedback will be released later this month and be incorporated into current and future projects.

The foreshore precent upgrades will build on previous works nearby, such as upgrades to Anketell Street, the laneway between Anketell Street and Lake Tuggeranong and recent pedestrian and cyclist improvements.
