Concept design of the new facility.

Canberra’s new ice sports facility is one step closer, following the ACT Government’s approval of a proposal from the developers.

The new facility set to be built on Rowland Rees Crescent in Greenway will include two international standard ice rinks and curling lanes.

Earlier this year developers Cruachan Investments and Pelligra Holdings put forward detailed proposals to design, construct, own and maintain the new facility.

"We’re pleased the ACT Government has supported our detailed proposal and look forward to working with the Government and ice sports on this project,” Stephen Campbell, Director of Cranachan Investments said.

“The proposed facility will provide the ACT with world class infrastructure to grow ice sports at all levels."

More information will be available in the coming weeks.
