
Shop upgrades are underway for the communities of Duffy, Macquarie, Monash, and Narrabundah.

Work is underway to upgrade the local shops across Canberra.
Major work to improve the look and feel of the Duffy shops on Burrinjuck Crescent has now been completed.
Early designs have been released for minor shop improvements in Macquarie, Monash, and Narrabundah, where safety and access upgrades have been prioritised.
Duffy shops
Following community feedback, the old playground has been demolished and completely rebuilt to include a new bike track, nest swing, nature play area, shade sails and climbing equipment. Native and deciduous trees have also been planted in the area to increase shade for the future.
Resurfacing of the carpark, and upgrades to paths and lighting have also been completed.
Macquarie
The shops on Lachlan Street will receive safety and access improvements which may include new accessible parking bays, upgraded lighting, and upgraded paths.
Two new murals, and new tables and seating have been proposed, while designs for improvements to the existing playground include a new nest swing, balancing logs and steppers.
Monash
New and upgraded paths, seating, tables and dog waste bins are proposed at the Monash business area on Cockcroft Avenue.
Other improvements may include landscaping work, tree planting and a new art mural.
Narrabundah
Improved parking arrangements, new accessible parking bays, upgraded paths and verges are among proposed upgrades to be completed in Narrabundah.
Further landscaping, tree planting and the installation of new seating and tables have also been suggested.
A new art mural has been suggested to bring new life to the area.
