Students at Gowrie Preschool have welcomed new softfall footing in their playground. The soft fall surface has been installed under their shaded playground and swing set.
Energy-efficiency upgrades throughout the school including new LED lighting, and changes to ceilings to support new heating and cooling ducts are also underway.
Over at Calwell Primary School, students are keeping cool at lunchtime while playing basketball and other sports under a new multipurpose shade structure. The teachers have also embraced recent upgrades to their staff room.
The work being carried out at Gowrie Preschool and Calwell Primary School is part of an annual program of upgrades across ACT public schools.
