Competition Name

YourSay Community Panel - Young Canberrans Face Mask Survey Prize Draw.

Who May Enter (Entry Conditions)

Entry to the Competition is open to: Individuals residing in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) aged 16-24 years or over who are not an Excluded Person. An Excluded Person is an ACT Government employee, immediately family member of an ACT Government employee or a person who, in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, is directly involved in the Competition or the provision of a Prize. Immediate family member is deemed to be siblings, children and family living under the same roof.

Competition Period

These Terms and Conditions relate to the Young Canberrans Face Mask Survey Prize Draw run by the Promoter on the website www.yoursaypanel.act.gov.au (Website) during the period 9.00am AEST 17 August 2020 to 11.59pm AEST 23 August 2020.

How to Enter (Entry Method)

To enter, Eligible Entrants must:

Complete the Young Canberrans Face Mask Survey.

Maximum Number of Entries

Eligible Entrants may enter the Young Canberrans COVID-19 Survey a maximum of one (1) time.

Prize Draw

The Promoter will randomly select ten (10) prize winners.

Prizes

The ten (10) Eligible Entrants will each win a Visa E-gift card (valid throughout Australia) valued at $50.

Maximum Prize Pool

No individual prize will be greater than $500 and the total prize pool will not exceed $500.

Prize Draw Location and Notice Date

Potentiate, AMP Ctr L 27 50 Bridge Street, Sydney NSW 2000 at 10.00 AEST on15 August 2020.

Winner Notification

Winners will be notified by email on the Notice Date set out above.

Draw for Unclaimed Prizes

3 months after the date of the applicable prize draw at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners, if any, will be notified via the email address supplied on their entry form.

Schedule to the Terms and Conditions

Introduction

1. By entering the Competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions which include the Schedule on pages 2,3 and 4 and any details and instructions relating to the Competition on the Promoter’s Website.

2. Any capitalised terms used in these Terms and Conditions have the meaning given in the Schedule, unless stated otherwise. In the event of any inconsistency between the Schedule to the Terms and Conditions (Schedule) and these General Terms and Conditions, the Schedule will take precedence.

3. The Promoter may in its absolute discretion refuse to award any Prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

4. Entry into the Competition is free.

Eligibility to Enter

5. A person must satisfy the Entry Conditions to enter the Competition.

Competition Period

6. The Competition will be conducted during the Competition Period. Any entry received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.

Entry Method

7. Entrants must enter the Competition in accordance with the Entry Method (and any other entry details provided by the Promoter on the Website) during the Competition Period.

8. Eligible Entrants will enter the competition after they complete the Young Canberrans COVID-19 Survey, indicate they want to be entered into the prize draw and provide their name and a valid email address. Entries must be submitted separately and each entry must individually meet the requirements in the Schedule.

Prize Draw

9. All entries in the Competition will go into a random draw and the Prize draw will be conducted at the time and in accordance with the details in Prize Draw section of the Schedule.
10. Prizes will be awarded to each valid entry which is drawn at random until each of the prizes have been awarded.
11. Winning will not be contingent on the participant being present at the drawing of the lottery.

Redraw

12. If the winning entry is invalid, that entry will be disregarded and the Prize will be awarded by drawing the next valid entry in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
13. If a prize is not claimed within three (3) months or such shorter period determined by the Promoter taking into account the nature of prize, the Prize will be awarded by drawing the next valid entry in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Prize

14. The Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the relevant supplier, are in Australian dollars and are correct as at the time of the commencement of the Competition Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the Prize value.

Prize Restrictions

15. Unless otherwise specified in the Schedule, the Promoter will not be responsible for any additional costs associated with use of the Prize. The Prize winner (and, if applicable, their guest(s)) is responsible for all costs associated with using the Prize including (if applicable) travel and/or transfer costs, expenses with respect to food and beverages, travel and medical insurance costs and spending money.

16. If the Prize is date specific, the Prize winner must be available to redeem the Prize on the dates stipulated by the Promoter. If the Prize winner is not able to redeem the Prize on that date, the Promoter may determine another Prize winner in its absolute discretion.

17. No component of the Prize can be transferred or redeemed for cash.

18. All Prizes are subject to availability. In the event that any of the Prizes or part of a Prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize, subject to any applicable laws.

19. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner (and any guests participating in using the Prize) comply with all the conditions of use of that Prize and the Prize supplier’s requirements.

20. If the Prize involves tickets to an event, the Promoter is not responsible for any changes in times or dates, or cancellations or rescheduling of events that may prevent the Prize winner from redeeming the Prize or any part of it.

Winner Notification

21. The Promoter will make the results of the Competition available on its Website.

22. The Prize winner(s) will be notified of the results by email within 7 days of determination of the results.

Privacy

23. In entering the Competition, you consent to the Promoter:

a. using your personal information for the purpose of conducting the Competition including to publish and notify the prize winners; and
b. disclosing your personal information to organisations that assist the Promoter with conducting the Competitions and to other third parties as required by law (including authorities that regulate the Competition).

24. The CMTEDD TPP Privacy Policy contains information about how you may access and seek the correction of any personal information that is held by CMTEDD and how you may make a complaint about the breach of the TPPs by CMTEDD and how your complaint will be dealt with.

General

25. Any attempt to interfere with the normal functioning of the Website or to otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of this Competition is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.

26. If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter’s:

a. conduct of the Competition, the Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions; or
b. ability to deliver the Prize to the Prize winner(s) the Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, conduct a redraw in accordance with clause 12.

27. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any failure of the equipment or programming, associated with or utilised in the Competition, or for any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of the Competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

28. To the full extent permitted by the law, the Promoter will not be liable for any death, injury, loss, damage, cost or expense whatsoever (whether direct or consequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any Prize, including without limitation non-receipt of any Prize or damage to any Prize in transit and the Prize winner’s failure to comply with the terms and conditions (if any) specified by any third party.
