Commentary
Respondents to the Year 7 Health Survey were asked to report how often they usually eat dinner at the table with most of the family.
In 2021, over half of the respondents (55.4%) to the Year 7 Health Survey reported eating dinner at the table with family every day of the week while 14.2% reported 5-6 times, 9.1% 3-4 times, 8.9% 1-2 times and 12.4% never or rarely ate dinner at the table with family.
There was no significant difference by sex of those who eat or do not eat dinner at the table with most of the family each week in 2021.
For the purpose of reporting the Year 7 Health Survey data on HealthStats, if the 95% confidence intervals of the estimates do not overlap, they are considered to be significantly different.
Persons includes male, female, other and refused sex respondents and may not always add to the sum of male and female.
