An ACT Government Website

The Health Analytics Research Collaboration (HARC) is a network which aims to promote research excellence, integrity and collaboration for health and medical research.

By bringing together experts in different research fields, the network helps to establish a holistic view of research projects and can introduce innovative approaches to translational health research.

HARC envisions that by supporting the quality of health research and enhancing the research skills in the region, a direct benefit to community health and wellbeing will occur.

The network includes health researchers, academics, clinicians, policy officers, statisticians, biostatisticians, epidemiologists and data analysts and is supported by an ACT Health biostatistician facilitator.

The network has brought researchers together from a wide range of settings, including:

  • Australian National University
  • University of Canberra
  • University of Wollongong
  • University of Notre Dame Australia
  • Canberra Health Services
  • ACT Health
  • Australian Bureau of Statistics
  • Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.

Collaborations can lead to:

  • publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • successful grant applications
  • conference abstracts and oral presentations
  • enhanced data analysis.
