If you work in the ACT public sector, are employed at a HP3.3 level and perform over and above the standard expected of your role, you can apply for the Health Professional Level 3 (HP3) Personal Upgrade Scheme. The scheme recognises and acknowledges excellence by advancing successful employees to a higher HP3 salary range on an ongoing basis.

Applying for the scheme

Applications for the HP3 Personal Upgrade Scheme open for a determined period of time each year. Applications for the scheme are usually open every year between April and July.

Before applying, you should read:

Referees and supervisors

You must nominate one supervisor to support your application and two referees, one for each criterion.

Each supervisor or referee will be sent an automated email with the application including the response to criteria and attachments, including evidence, the position description and a payroll service letter.

The email will have a link to the scheme guidelines and a link to a form for your referee or supervisor to complete.

Once the form is complete and submitted both you and your scheme secretariat will receive a confirmation email.

A referee report template for hard copy applications can be found at Appendix 4 and 5 of the guidelines and a supervisor statement at Appendix 6.

Saving and accessing your application

You can save a partial online application and return to it at another time as long as you use the same computer within 180 days.

If you have any trouble accessing your partial application please send your name and email address to onlineanddesign@act.gov.au or contact your scheme secretariat who can support you to access your draft.

Your application draft may not be saved if you login using Imprivata or if you use the Internet Explorer web browser.

Your completed application will be automatically sent to your agency scheme secretariat, listed below
