Commentary

In 2018, 3.9% of children aged 5-17 years participating in the ACT General Health Survey met the guideline for the recommended daily serves of vegetables.

Note: Note: The indicator shows self-reported data collected through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI). Estimates were weighted to adjust for differences in the probability of selection among respondents and were benchmarked to the estimated residential population using the latest available Australian Bureau of Statistics population estimates.

Based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines at the time of data collection. For 2007-2012 data, the estimates were calculated against the 2003 guidelines. For 2013-2018 data, the estimates were calculated against the 2013 (current) guidelines. Responses for children aged 5-15 years are provided by the child's main carer.

The following estimates have a relative standard error of 25% to 50% and should be used with caution:

  • 2013/14 and 2015/16 males
  • 2015/16 females
  • 2018 persons.

Estimates for males and females in 2018 have been withheld due to small numbers.
