Commentary
- A larger proportion of year 6 children exceed the screen time guidelines on weekends compared to week days.
- Year 6 boys are more likely to exceed screen time guidelines compared to girls.
Please note that in 2015, questions relating to screen time were combined, ie children were asked their combined TV/computer time where previously the questions were separate. Therefore any apparent decrease in screen time in 2015 onwards must be interpreted with caution as it may be due to changes in the survey instrument rather than an actual decrease.
