An ACT Government Website

Domestic Violence Prevention Council

We help the ACT Government improve its response to domestic and family violence by bringing together experts from the community, police and courts.

What we do

We give strategic advice to the ACT Government to improve its responses to domestic and family violence.

We include representatives from community organisations, ACT Government, ACT Police, courts and community members.

We work together and exchange information to improve responses to domestic and family violence in the community.

Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Reference Group provides advice on how we can reduce domestic and family violence in Canberra’s Indigenous communities.
