An ACT Government Website

The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Academy is a supportive, and culturally safe program that creates opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in years 10, 11, and 12 to consider career choices in health and wellbeing.

The program also helps students find work placement opportunities in culturally supportive workplaces and organisations.

Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) leads the academy program supported by:

  • ACT Health Directorate
  • Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT)
  • University of Canberra
  • Canberra Health Services
  • Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate
