A new community centre for the Molonglo Valley region has opened at the Molonglo Health Hub in Coombs. Created to meet the needs of the growing community, the centre provides a space for groups and residents to gather.

Fully furnished with modern amenities and features, the facility includes a 100-person meeting room, technology for audio-visual presentations, a kitchenette and bathrooms.

The YWCA Canberra has been selected to manage the hiring of the centre. YWCA Canberra CEO Frances Crimmins said she was excited to offer an inclusive, welcoming space for a diverse range of people and groups.

“We are looking forward to the Centre becoming a place that serves the diversity of Canberrans in the Molonglo Valley, through providing space and support for community activities, linking people to services, and enhancing the already vibrant community in the area,” Frances said.

Bookings for the community centre will be available soon through the YWCA Canberra.
