Canberrans can now have their say on what they’d like to see in the new health centre coming to Conder in South Tuggeranong.

The ACT Government has launched a YourSay survey to gather community feedback on the services they would like included in the new centre.

Canberrans can provide their input in the coming weeks, either online or through a face-to-face session.

The 12-room health centre will be located near Lanyon Marketplace in Conder. It will allow Tuggeranong residents to access multidisciplinary health services, closer to home.

Feedback received from consumers and the local community will help to inform the clinical services and design of the centre.

Strong community engagement helped inform the design of the Critical Services Building at Canberra Hospital. The ACT Government is hoping for a similar result with the new health centre.

The South Tuggeranong Health Centre is the first of four new health centres in the ACT.

Another three centres are coming to the Inner South, North Gungahlin, and West Belconnen. Canberrans will have the opportunity to have their say on these new health centres in 2024.

Consultation on the design of health centre in South Tuggeranong is open until 1 December 2023.
